My name is Jay Tulley. I’ve been working as an energy manager for a campus of about 140 buildings for the past 6 years. Before that I worked for 11 years in facilities management and construction project management. The field of energy management for a a campus is fascinating, challenging, and to me, incredibly gratifying. It requires a blend of technical, financial, and process competency. But it also requires empathy and a desire to care for the people occupying our buildings. Years ago, as a new energy manager I had trouble finding guidance on how to do the job. This site is my attempt to share some of the lessons I have learned.
